BPS Releases Transportation Sector Grows 21.27 Percent
BANDA ACEH – The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) through its data shows that the transportation sector has managed to grow 21.27 percent in the second quarter of 2022. The sector in question contributed positively to national economic growth which reached 5.44 percent. We should be grateful for this achievement. In the midst of challenges (the Covid-19 pandemic), the transportation sector is still contributing to a positive trend for Indonesia.
This statement was conveyed by the Head of the Aceh Transportation Service, Teuku Faisal when reading the remarks of the Minister of Transportation of the Republic of Indonesia, Budi Karya Sumadi, at the commemoration ceremony of the National Transportation Day (Harhubnas) in Aceh Province which was held at the UPTD Depot for Mass Transportation Trans Kutaraja, Banda Aceh, Saturday, 17 September 2022.
In the midst of this good achievement, said Teuku Faisal, it must also be admitted that there are still many things that need to be addressed. Where many developments must be completed to improve connectivity throughout the archipelago. "The Harhubnas commemoration is the right momentum for Transportation Personnel to continue to improve performance in the transportation sector," he said.
These challenges, he added, would not be able to be faced without collaboration and synergy with all stakeholders in the transportation sector. "Therefore, this year's Transportation Day takes the theme "Rise Forward Together". We will not be able to quickly rise if we are not together, not United," he said.
In addition, Teuku Faisal expressed his deepest gratitude to all Transportation Personnel wherever they are. Who served in the city, in the village, on the border and on remote islands. Who has served to maintain connectivity throughout the country.
Teuku Faisal also invited all ceremony participants and invited guests to commemorate the services of their predecessors who had died in advancing Indonesian transportation. "Let's remember them all as transportation heroes," he said.
For this year, the Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub) has the theme "Rising Forward Together". This theme is expected to be the spirit of the revival of transportation services after two years of facing the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Harhubnas ceremony was attended by all State Civil Apparatuses (ASN) of the Aceh Transportation Service. Also attended by the Director of Traffic (Dirlantas) of the Aceh Regional Police (Polda), the Heads of Regency/City Transportation Services throughout Aceh, and Aceh's transportation partners.
The Aceh Transportation Service also handed out prizes to the best transportation partners and the winners of the competitions which were part of a series of activities to commemorate the 2022 Harhubnas in Aceh. Among them, the assessment of the best AKDP minimum service standards (SPM), the Aceh transportation writing competition, and the best social media management at the Regency / City Transportation Office throughout Aceh.
