Trans Meudiwana Gives Birth to a New Legacy of Aceh's Tourism Progress
BANDA ACEH – Aceh is very rich in historical values, and it is the duty of all of us to continue to maintain and promote the wealth of historical heritage to the wider community.
This was conveyed by the Head of the Aceh Culture and Tourism Office (Disbudpar), Almuniza Kamal when giving a speech at the Launching of Trans Meudiwana at the Aceh Museum, Sunday, September 11, 2022.
The Trans Meudiwana program, said Almuniza, is the result of collaboration and collaboration between the Aceh Disbudpar and the Aceh Transportation Service to create a new legacy for the advancement of Aceh's tourism.
"To advance Aceh's tourism, Disbudpar cannot do it alone, it requires collaboration and cooperation with all parties, including the transportation sector," said Almuniza.
The presence of public transportation services at tourist sites, added Almuniza, will certainly bring comfort to tourists, both domestic and foreign.
Almuniza also expressed his appreciation to the Aceh Transportation Agency, the Trans Kutaraja Mass Transport UPTD, and tourism actors for their support and attention to Aceh tourism.
On the same occasion, Head of the Aceh Transportation Service, Teuku Faisal said that the presence of Trans Meudiwana could be a solution for the community in the midst of high inflation and rising fuel prices.
"This is one of the solutions and innovations resulting from the collaboration of the Aceh Transportation Agency and Aceh's Disbudpar so that people can still move and travel so that the burden is not too heavy for the community with rising inflation and high fuel prices," said Teuku Faisal.
Teuku Faisal also said that this innovation was born from his anxiety, where Trans Koetaradja's facilities and human resources are quite good but have not been utilized optimally.
"So we think what innovations can be done to support all sectors, finally we come up with innovations that can support tourism in Banda Aceh and Aceh Besar," he said.
Teuku Faisal hopes that this collaboration will become a new collaboration model to make Aceh's tourism better in the future.
Also present at the launching of Trans Meudiwana were the Chairperson of the Aceh Customary Council (MAA), Head of Transportation Agency of Banda Aceh, Head of Tourism Banda Aceh, Kadisparpora Aceh Besar, President Director of PT Harapan Indah Transport, GM Perum Damri Banda Aceh, as well as tourism actors in Banda Aceh and Aceh. For information, Trans Meudiwana has the meaning of Traveling Trans which is taken from the ancient Acehnese language. The program which takes place every Sunday is free of charge, or the same as the regular Trans Koetaradja service.
The Aceh Transportation Agency deployed 6 buses to serve 2 Trans Meudiwana routes in the Banda Aceh City and Aceh Besar Districts. Route 1 (MRB – Ulee Lheue Harbor) is served by 2 buses, and operates from 08.00 WIB to 18.22 WIB. While route 2 (MRB – Lampuuk Beach) is served by 4 buses, and operates from 09.00 WIB to 18.57 WIB.
